With the blessings of Allah, AIC Adelaide offers both contemporary and Islamic education for our Muslim children in an Islamic environment. The curriculum helps our students to learn contemporary and Islamic education and also, prepares them with good values and a guide to become responsible and productive member of
the society they are living in.
AIC Adelaide offers Islamic education from Reception to Year 12
which includes Quranic Studies, Islamic Studies and Arabic Language.
In the Secondary level, religious study is offered as part
of SACE subject known as "Stage I Studies in Religion". Under this subject, students not only
continue understanding Islamic in depth but also have opportunity to explore other religions of the
world.
A study of religion forms a vital foundation for the study of a society. This is of particular importance
in a culturally diverse society. An appreciation of Australian's multicultural society is limited without
an understanding of religion and its influence on human behaviour and the shaping of personal and
group identity. Religions and spiritualities are living and dynamic, and students study the ways in
which religious adherents participate in, and respond to, current social and moral debates, and
issues in communities such as those in Australia.
Most importantly, the universal nature of Islamic studies will prepare the students for the future to vigorously participate in interfaith dialogue and support cooperative, constructive and positive interaction between people of different religions, faiths or humanistic beliefs, both at the individual and institutional levels.
I feel proud Ma Sha Allah my children are going to this college where there is no discrimination of race or status, where humanity and modesty are obviously radiant, where there is no bullying and simplicity takes pride. I know there may be some other better schools for worldly education but as one of my friends says isn't it good enough if our children are educating and developing a desire and habit of saying Salah with congregation! Indeed it is good enough. Jazak Allah Khair to all the staff/ board members making efforts to blossom this school even better. May Allah give you huge rewards in this world and the hereafter.
Muhammad Saad Durrani -- ParentIt is with great pleasure that I am writing this testimonial for Australian Islamic College Adelaide. Over the past 8 years my four children have been attending Australian Islamic College Adelaide and to say they have enjoyed their time there is an understatement. They have thrived in this environment. AICA's wonderful staff make each and every child feels being special and unique whilst providing them with excellent academic skills needed as they make transition from reception to “High School”. This is exactly what I as a parent want for my children. The genuine affection and concern that the staff show to the children make AICA a child’s “home away from home”. I know it is rare to find a place with all these outstanding qualities that's why I can recommend Australian Islamic College Adelaide to friends, family and anyone who wants a wonderful caring and learning environment for their children.
Adeel Asghar MughalOur daughter has been attending Islamic College Pre-Primary for six months and she absolutely loves it! She would walk herself to School if she was able to. The teachers' friendly, nurturing and professional manner helped her settle into pre-primary school routines quickly. Her skills in interpersonal relationships and communication have developed immensely. She now happily communicates with her peers and shares her wants, needs and frustrations more effectively.
