The Year 7 to Year 9 classes are busy preparing for their exam next week (week 7). The topic covered in the exam will be the topics covered from beginning of Term 1 until week 6, Term 2. These classes are taught by our excellent teachers, Sister Christina Rodrigues, Sister Noor Omar, Brother Abdullah Trad and Brother Azeem Ali. At the same time, the allocation of students in year 8 has changed from two to three groups based on their NAPLAN results in 2021.
This semester, the Year 10 Advanced Mathematics students have started the study of Trigonometry. Trigonometry is one of the more complex topics, however, they are dedicated to understanding and utilising their past knowledge to acquire greater skills in this new topic. The year 10 General Mathematics students are currently focusing on Pythagoras Theorem which is just the initial point of a wider topic.
The Year 11 class have finally completed Trigonometry and are now moving on to a new topic, Counting and Statistics. They are motivated to study this topic and hopefully obtain great results. The General Mathematics class is focusing on Financial Mathematics (shares and Investment) for Semester 2.
Finally, the Year 12 Mathematical Methods class will begin Integration topic which is part of Calculus while preparing for their Summative assessment in week 8. The General Maths students are focusing on Regression Model and Statistics.
