AIC Captains Maysara and Omar Represent Year 12 Leaders at Prestigious Reception

On the evening of Monday, 2nd September, our two Year 12 captains, Maysara and Omar, had the distinct honor of attending the annual reception hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, the Governor of South Australia. This prestigious event brought together Year 12 student leaders from across the state to celebrate their achievements and foster connections with peers in leadership roles.

A Night of Connection and Inspiration

The reception offered a unique opportunity for Maysara and Omar to meet and interact with other student leaders, exchanging ideas and experiences. It was a moment of reflection and recognition, where young leaders from various schools were acknowledged for their dedication and commitment to making a difference in their communities.

Maysara and Omar shared their reflections on the event, noting how inspiring it was to be part of such an influential gathering:

“The event was a very unique experience. It was amazing to walk into a room and feel part of something bigger than yourself. The speeches presented were extremely inspiring. They made us feel proud to be leaders and excited for the endless opportunities that are waiting for us.”

A Proud Moment for AIC

We are incredibly proud of Maysara and Omar for representing Australian Islamic College at this meaningful event. Their participation in this reception not only highlights their leadership qualities but also serves as a reminder of the inspiring and transformative potential of student leaders in shaping a brighter future.
