High School EALD

Year 7 EALD Students have been working on preparing Slide Show Presentations about “Friends and Friendship” and on learning how to make an engaging speech.

They have also been encouraged to read and have designed new book covers and blurbs for the books they have chosen to do Book Activities on.

The Year 8 EALD Class has been studying the Terror Genre and learnt about rising tension, settings, wicked characters, unusual and shocking events etc.

In HASS, we have been learning about Civics and Citizenship and Australian Criminal/Civic and Customary Laws.

Year 9 Students have been busy authors and illustrators creating hard and digital books on Bullying for Young Readers.

Year 10 English have viewed the film “Freedom Writers” and have created Diary Entries imagining they are the students at Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach California and mimicked writing Journals to the teacher as the students in the movie did.
