Year 11 Spiritualties, Religion & Meaning
AIC is one of the few schools which is implementing the new curriculum of Spiritualities, Religion and Meaning in 2022. Our Year 11 students are one of the first students who are studying this new curriculum. Students have completed their first assessment type of Reflective Analysis, where they reflected on the importance of Surah Alaq throughout history and to society.
Currently students are working on the Connections tasks focusing on practices which create a sense of connection for worshipers. Senior students presented to Middle school students topics such as tarawih, Eid and Taqwah. Senior students collated questionnaires to gain feedback on their presentation to examine the types of connections and experiences their audiences had in relation to the topics presented. Many thanks to the Middle school teachers for welcoming the senior students in their classrooms to present to their students and complete their tasks.
Year 10 Spiritualities, Religion & Meaning
Students have been learning the Sunan of the morning and evening and have completed their examination for semester 1. Currently students are completing their first investigation where they developed focusing questions to undertake research using primary and secondary sources to investigate spiritual and or religious perspectives on the issue, and present their informed opinions in their preferred mode.
